Hosted by Founder and Grammy-award winning songwriter, Steve Vaus, the 2018 Carols By Candlelight concert once again featured an impressive roster of entertainers. Along with headliner Hunter Hayes, the stage at Escondido’s Center for the Performing Arts was graced by the amazing talents of performers Anna Vaus and Jamie O’Neal.
For the seventh consecutive year, Event Wave was asked to handle the sound design and house and monitor mixing duties for the event. To complement the L-Acoustics Kara PA system, Event Wave supplied a Yamaha Rivage PM7 mixing console for the house mix, and a CL5 mixing console for monitors, as well as Shure UHF-R wireless microphones and PSM-1000 in-ear monitors. Jeff Grasmick helmed the FOH mix, while the stereo in-ear mixes and stage wedges were deftly handled by monitor engineer Gustavo Mena.
